SD Confirmation

I know this subject has been covered before but am I right in thinking that you sign for your SD's therefore it is your responsibility to confim the SD's to the DO and not the indoor staffs responsibility.I know you can get into the debate of im not useing my mobile to phone the office etc etc,but if you are not returning to the DO or you are going to be late it surely is your responsibilty to inform the DO and not locker staff. I have been told that is the procedure but not seen anything in black and whiteAny thoughts on this please.Thanks

If your duty doesnt require you to return to the DO,then its not your problem.
IF managers require you to confirm them.then they need to provide the means to do that.

if you do a track n trace should the office where it was delivered from appear on track n trace?
Or if it was an internal one would it be blank but just say "it has been delivered".

tracking should show the office it was delivered from if its been scanned/tracked correctly

thats what i thought.

ive got a number which i tracked and it never showed up the date or location it was delivered from.

Yes it's your responsibility to confirm delivery or not with the DO especially if you are going to be late back, however it's the managers responsibility to provide you with the means to do this. On my old bike delivery before park and loop it was so far from the office that I couldn't get back to confirm my specials in time, the manager told me to use my phone and I refused because I didn't see why I should have to use my phone then go through hassle of claiming the cost of the call back. I suggested using a PDA to confirm them, the DOM agreed and that was that problem solved.

If you use a PDA on delivery,there is no confirmation to be done?

Yeah because the PDA uploads to the track and trace server. You still have to hand it into the locker when you return to the office if you left a p739 but it doesn't have to be confirmed by the locker staff because the PDA will have uploaded to the server what the outcome was; P739 left, delivered, no access, etc etc.
