It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

From the map it looks as if Royal Mail is so confident about their revisions that they're rolling them out across the Republic of Ireland too.POSTMAN wrote:Just thought i'd let you know...

Re: 550 revisions so far
So only another 1000 or so to go. Just wonder how many of those 550 are working satisfactorily and using the equipment assigned to the duty - but we're never going to know that. Just that people travel to other places and they are still delivering at 0730.......................
Two years to complete 550 and 9 months before the BT2010 runs out in 2013 with 1000 to go
seems like a pretty tall order to me and a lot of posties still working 40 hours with no transformation cash.

Nah, for “table top” think more chess board.bsaman wrote:What revision we are still working the vold system we should have had ours a while ago we have now been told we are going to have a table top revision does this also include lap dancers.
They move the pawns (us) around, sacrificing a few here and there to win the game.
The area manager is the king, the DOM is a queen (certainly acts like one). The linos like to think of themselves as knights. The DO is a castle.
If their strategy doesn’t work out then they all resort to bashing the bishop until things come to a head.

Re: 550 revisions so far
550 in 2012? According to the December 2010 issue of Courier:
More than 50 units have started deploying new delivery methods equipment, a number that grows by the week. By the end of March 2011, about 600 units will be using the new equipment, wile another 700 will have carried out other changes to improve the efficiency of indoor work and collections.
Planning Pays
'The most successful revisions are in units where the changes have been planned well with lots of input from postmen and women' says delivery transformation national deployment manager Miles Henderson-Lea.
[...]
'We ran it through the GeoRoute software about seven times before we got all the walks efficiently worked out and evenly distributed' says [Basingstoke DOM Paul Leishman]
The machine stops.
