Lapse or be suspended!

So the 'summer plan' has just started in our office and already someone's been suspended for not doing their bit because they didn't have time to after their normal duty, and the message has gone out to the rest of us that it's basically compulsory.

Also when it was talked about a few weeks ago we were told the IPS would be finished by 8.15 and the collapsed duties would be ready to take out with us when we leave to office - from day 1 we've had to come back after our deliveries, pick it and go back out again.

Rep is off for a fortnight.

If your coming back after your delivery to pick it up then if you don't have time don't do it and if you do have time then whats the problem?

If that's the case the thread title is wrong...it should read lapse or act like an arse and get yourself suspended for refusing a reasonable request.

Brilliant, suspend, suspend, suspend to replace lapse lapse lapse. Hope this is one of the offices that they use as an example office of how a revision should operate. Can,t wait for our lino to introduce such methods as he is unable to think outside the box.

Hi all are summer lapsing as started and he the manager wants us to do it saturdays as well thing is i can only ever do it on a monday if not to busy and can do it tuesday but other times you have no chance im worried that he will start being a nob i have been advised to take it out with me by another colleague and if i havent got time i should bring it back im at the wolverhampton north east do would it be best if i took it out if over my time bring it back worried as the manager has been heard saying no more mr nice guy and my contract is up for renewal in july been with royal mail for 2 years now

Were we not told the park and loop agreement was implemented to stop things like lapsing? Huge rounds but no more lapsing we were told,So lied to once again.
They dont replace anyone who leaves,If they do its part time,Packets through the roof but they seem to think it takes no extra time,We cover 2 towns and they are both getting bigger every year,Always a building site on the go,This year alone will see an increase of 1300 houses over the 2 towns,No extra staff or rounds developed,Rounds just made even bigger and now the lapsing has started,Piss poor company to work for nowadays.

Dont worry UNTIL he starts being a nob, its a waste of energy. In the ideal world if you dont think you will be able to lapse and complete your walk within your time ask the lino or dom what they'd like you to do, either work past your time (if you want to) or cut off. I wouldn't take it out and bring it back, that would lend itself to all sorts of problems like being threatened with wilful delay. Best to sort it out with the dom prior to leaving than return with excess to find no one at the office to inform of the undelivered mail. As to your 2 years of service im sure i read somewhere on here that 2 years was a limit to temp contracts.

Dont bring it out and then bring it back , you will most def be done for wilfull delay
