Changing your duty about ?

I have been doing the same duty day in day out for over a year and now management want to adjust it , take some work off and add somemore on . One weeks notice . Rep says they have to give me 6 weeks notice in advance ? How true is this ? In black and white on paper ?

The 28 days is the time it should take to go through the disagreement procedure.
If your rep doesn't disagree officially they don't have to give you anything.
