bank holliday absence

Hi all,
Looking for info regarding going sick either side of bank hollidays as to wether rm will stop pay any body know the facts,thanks.

if you go sick before a bank holiday - and do not resume by telephone - then you are counted as sick for the whole period ie until you are due back in work

i'll explain more if you went sick this friday and did not ring in and came back wednesday ( after the bank holiday) then all the days up to and including tuesday would be counted as sick days

if you went sick Friday BUT phoned in during/after your duty time on Saturday and stated that you were now fit for work but as we are not due back till weds then you would return then, only the Friday and Saturday would be counted as sick days

as for stopping pay AFAIK as long as you were sick and have phoned in and not unathorised ( or you have reached a point where you have no paid sick leave left) then they shouldn't stop your pay
