GRIEVANCE STAGE 2

Hello there,

I started the First stage greivance against a manager, and another manager dealt with my grievance. The result was as I suspected, a complete stitch up. Its like the police investigate the police, so the out come sadly was no surprise. Despite this, I am still going to go to stage 2. I don't know which is the correct address I should send the stage 2 form too. I have conflicting info, on the actual form it says to send it to:

complete section 1 of the form and hand it to your second Line Manager. You should then complete Section 2 and send it to the ER Operations Team (at the Freepost address shown on the form). Section 2 Please complete and send this form to: ER Operations Team, HR Services, FREEPOST, Coton House, Rugby, CV23 0AA.

However, the manager who made the unfair determination at the stage 1, says if I wish to proceed to stage 2, I must return my form to him, eventhough another manager will be considering my case? I doubt what he is telling me is correct. Besides, I don't want to send the form to him, I would rather forward it direct to the next manager who will be dealing with the stage 2. I think this manager just wants to see why I have rejected his determination at stage 1.

Can anyone advise me, what is the correct proceedure please. ?

I dont know the answer to your questions but noticed the time on your post. Obviously keeping you awake at night. I had similar with Bullying and Harasment case. Managers investigating managers? how is that allowed to happen? Just wishing you luck - now try and get some sleep and don't give up x

A grievance against a manager should start with a stage 2. You need to send the appeal letter to the investigating manager, stating you wish to appeal against his/her decision.

You do not have to state why you are appealing just say, you will put forward your reasons at the appeal hearing.

Hi there, firstly this should be at a stage two of the procedure, secondly the grievance stage 2 form should be filled out and handed to the head of the department or mail centre. He should acknowledge you're grievance within 3 working days and set up a meet within the 5 working days of receipt of the stage 2 grievance. However your unit Rep should be dealing with this, the grievance procedure is attainable from the CWU website. Also depending on the magnitude of the grievance a manager out of the geographical area can be requested. Hope this helps!!! Oh also all grievances go to Sheffield now this should be on the stage 2 form.

HI, The area union rep and myself our handling my husbands greivence against his line managers and it is at stage two. The manager who will be proceeding the meeting at stage two had to go to HR for advice! this grievence has been ongoing since Jan 2012 and led to my husband being placed on section 2 off the metal health act and the manager questioned if it could go ahead without my husband being present (of course it can else it would be discrimnation and 2010 equality law breaking)

All I can say is dont give up thats what they want especially if you have evidence to support your grievence which they can not loose, keep copies of everything. Also you may find the acas website helpful it has a pdf file to open on grievence and a number to phone.

I am not going to let Royal Mail get away with the mistakes they made to ensure my husbands health safety and wellbeing was being met. I have a diary of events and evidence which they can not deny, but I know they will try and this all started with my husband insisting that the ERICA was filled in and submitted when he hurt his back and the treatment he recieved from his line managers while trying to return to his full duty.

I think it has shut down any grievances go to HR in Sheffield now i believe

I skipped the dumb ass grievance stages and went straight to a lawyer and sued the manager for outright discrimination and destroyed her ass. That's how you do it!
