Royal Mail National Negotiations

Further to LTB 364/12, at the end of last week significant progress has been made on all major national issues that are outstanding from our Phase 2 talks with Royal Mail.
On Thursday the Postal Executive will consider proposed agreements and we hope to confirm arrangements for the Policy Forum by the end of this week.
Further information will be provided in due course.
Any enquiries on the above should be addressed to the DGS (P) Department.

Well as the PEC are still meeting on the issues and have put some amendments I think that is all the information that can be given at this point.

I hope that's not just spin. If things were going really badly, I doubt anything would be put out at present.

My understanding is that the job security aspect and the MTSF extension till April 2014 and the world class mail agreement will be sent out to Branch's tomorrow allowing 28 days consultation with members etc before the policy forum.

The colleague share scheme replacement is subject to further discussion and will see an interim paid this June of 100 , £200 Christmas 2013 including Xmas bonus In addition to what the new scheme pays. The details of the scheme will be worked up in the phase 3 talks .

There is still no agreement on the revision stuff as yet .

Rm seem to be delaying the colleauge share issue. MTSF till 2014, that may be ok but we will probably have new owners by then. World class mail? No-one still knows what it is. In my mail centre there are pictures of bins and recycling points and coloured tape around water fountains. Part of world calss mail!!
