HCT trollies

Is there a max distance allowed away from the office when using a HCT? Also is there a max travelling distance pushing a full trolley before your first delivery point? Our DOM says "a reasonable distance", Is there anything agreed on the use of these or just the usual made up cr@p.

Question: How will the equipment be allocated?
Answer: The following principles are used as guidance;
• A normal high-capacity trolley (HCT) will be used for walks that start and finish within a mile of the delivery office.
• A powered HCT will be used for walks that start and finish within a mile of the office in steep terrain.
• Shared vans should be used for all other routes. The aim is to make as many van routes as possible based on two people sharing.

As Fish says, we were told that you could be expected to push it up to 1 mile from the office

I was told although I have pretty much the steepest hills you can imagine that the powered trolleys cost almost as much as a van so I will not be getting one.

Hah... thats a laugh, we have to lift a HCT into a van every day.... tried and failed to get a ramp on infinite occasions.

I know what you are saying mate, but our whole office is a piss take, I saw a manager today for the first time since Christmas
