Notice Period
Can't find my contract to check. Got a new job to go to. Been working 7 months on a 9 month temp part/time contract. How much notice do I need to give?

Myself too folks would like confirmation on how much notice - union came back with a
Month but I always thought as we are weekly paid Its a weeks notice regardless of years of service ?!

Thanks as always, guys. Have to say I enjoyed my time after a very difficult first couple of months, but I've got problems with my feet (other than they won't go fast enough!) that means I'm in pain pretty constantly and it's only going to get worse.
Things I liked about the job - the crack with the guys in the morning, being out in the fresh air, getting a whole lot fitter, the freedom to get on with the job once out and about, the respect and regard given by many members of the public, being able to switch off completely when finished.
What I didn't like - starting and finishing later than I had envisaged, the length and severity of the walks (always seem to be one bag too far!), not losing as much weight as I'd hoped(!), the belittling, disdainful attitude of some members of the public.
Gonna miss it lots - not least this site which has been absolutely invaluable in providing advice/views/a sense of perspective/good laffs!
