hi i recently applied for postman with driving job i got an email back saying i had been placed on waiting list. the same job has come up i applied for! do i have to send and email to re-apply or will they contact me? any help appreciated

You need to contact them via e mail, when I was put on the waiting list in the e mail they sent informing me I was on the waiting told me exactly what to send.

about 4 days and they offered me a job there and then, then you gotta wait for security clearance (up to 2 weeks) and then they need to find you a free induction day. So it'll probably be a few weeks before you start if they do offer you a job which hopefully they will do. It's not all bad at RM!

thanks for info! hope i do get it! 1 last thing will i get a confirmation email to say they got my email? or is it a case of just waiting to hear back now

I think I did get a conformation e mail as I recall saying they would be in touch in a couple of days but it took at least 3!

thanks! what can i expect for first couple of weeks? and im only on a 3 month contract what are the chances of being given a longer contract?

I started off on a 3-month and it simply got renewed for another 3 months until I had been there 2 years when I got a permanent one.
Personally, I would say as long as you do the job and don't drop any sizable clangers in the 3 months then you should get it renewed

Failing to get a signature when it is required.
Not doing the re-directions.
Failure to follow a "reasonable" request from a manager.
Loosing a Priority.
Delaying Mail (as defined by Royal Mail)
Not delivering Door to Doors.
Leaving mail in an insecure condition outside of procedures.
Not following security rules.
Not following Driving rules.
