Is there an 'Ideas in Action' scheme?

It was all the rage in the 90s, companies, or usually public bodies, civil service etc would have an 'Ideas in Action' scheme were staff or customers could give ideas to improve the service. If they turned out to be viable the succesful applicant would receive a a cash bonus, sometimes the equivalent of a month's salary or or £1000. I noticed this scheme seems to have been stopped for some reason because i have not heard of it since. Was it some bright idea of the time and died off?

I was wondering do the RM have anything like this? Is there a section that staff could contact to give suggestions, if they have any to senior management?

Starting from the top:Moya Greene visited Edinburgh mail centre recently and heard from a great vine that only carefully selected workers were allowed too speak to her,and was told by senior managements to ask only questions THEY want to hear
Coming down at our workplace we if any have a hurdle;manager gets his points across[usually more bad news for us]then as soon hes' finished its a quick "Thats it back too work"before any of us can get our queries across

A postman , a phg , and their manager are walking towards the cafeteria for lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, "I'll give each of you ONE wish."
