i am on 18hrs/per week have been with royal mail 3 yrs have been told i am only entitled to 1 weeks wage and 1 week without pay for paternity leave is this correct as i always thought paternity leave was for 2 weeks with pay. someone plz tell me my rights on this matter

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Thats very interesting. I took two weeks leave after the birth of my last child (6 1/2 years ago) and was told I'm only allowed one week of that paid!

Its only recently changed I think so it may have been correct at the time.

thank you very much i was told by an employeer at work, glad its changed lol, i always thought it was two weeks paid with any company, i only got told a week ago it was 1 week but now can face my office and tell them its 2 lol

I was also told that i dont need to fill anything out for paternity leave is this true

mat b 1 well wife will get that for her maternity leave off midwife and will photocopy it and show it to manager, thank you to all for your help

Yes - as long as you have completed the 1 year qualifying period. Also its contracted hours obviously.
