Just out of interest If a signature is required but the person is blind or almost blind and cannot sign the docket, what happens then ? Assuming there is no official letter back at the office stating that the person is blind and the postie can sign or signature not required etc.
It happened to a friend of mine the other day. My friend asked for the guys (or gals ) surname and put that in both boxes on the sheet, after asking the guy if that was ok with him.

You sign for it yourself and put the initialls DNS in as the name, stands for Delivered No Signature, its allowed for any person who has a disability which prevents them for signing for the item
