‘A FUTURE THAT WORKS’ – NATIONAL DEMONSTRATION (20 OCTOBER 2012) IN HYDE PARK, LONDON

The date of the national demonstration organised by the Trades Union Congress has been agreed as Saturday 20 October 2012.

Branches are asked to make a note of this date in their diaries.

The union’s presence at the demonstration will be co-ordinated from CWU HQ via the CWU Regional Secretaries.

Further details will be issued in due course. However, any ideas or suggestions as to how the union and the wider labour movement can ensure a successful event, would be welcomed.

Any suggestions should be sent to the General Secretary’s Office to arrive no later than Thursday 19 July.

Any enquiries on this LTB should also be addressed to the General Secretary’s Office quoting the reference GS 13.5

To be fair it isn't a CWU demo.
It's a TUC organised multi-union affair.

so why bother us then we didn,t get to support national action last year with public sector strikes
which was about pensions etc
