at local level do union reps get elected every year ?
can anyone stand that is a union member.
would a new rep get training ?

2 years here. all cwu members can stand. you'll get as much training as you want. induction course for new reps given by divisional reps round here.

ours is every year.Any member can stand ,i only re joined the union to stand for rep and get our useless self serving waste of space out of office.

Two months in and our crew has never been happier :nana (should have an emote of a guy blowing his own trumpet Image Image )lol

i am putting in for any and all training going. it can only help

infact i am going to alvescot lodge tommorrow for 5 days on postal agreements and procedures.does anyone know if the rooms have a television ?
Dont think i could stand 5 evenings without the news or whether

No TV's in the room. To be honest I doubt you will have any time to watch TV. You could always use the computer room to check up on the news or if you've a laptop take that with you as there is wi-fi through-out the building.

Alvescot Lodge. Brings back memories. Used to play footie for Carterton, which is next to RAF Brize Norton. Played Alvescot many times. The pitch used to be behind the Lodge and the Pub just down the road, and smack behind one of the main runways. Pubs name anyone?
