I heard that the SA rate is going to be around £8 as its not going to be including the meal relief anymore?

Stop doing it then, if they aren't going to pay a proper rate then just stop it, you will get used to the cut in wages.

How does the Scheduled Attendance Lump Sum Payments work (I think there are two per year ?) ie how much is the lump sum payment for each SA (hour) worked ? I believe the payment is made in leu of holidays ? ? ?

I've never found out how the Lump Sum is actually calculated but understand that it is in lieu of holidays. SA is about £11.01 an hour ( £10.15 plus 8½% ) while basic pay is £10.09 an hour ( £372.10 plus £21.62 Delivery Supplement, all divided by 39 ) so SA represents a premium of about 9% which presumably recognises ones commitment to work such essential duties, a commitment lacking in the 'take it leave it' attitude we can have to ordinary overtime.
