I knew i hadn't imagined it !
It wasn't advertised for very long in our office i think the notice was up for a day !
i think this was a token effort and they didn't really want postman involvement
or it would have surely featured in a video or wtll session.

Lot of "acting" managers also going for these jobs,as they know the chances of being made up are rarer than hens teeth....and when the WCM bandwagon grinds to a halt in a few years,they will all have some sort of payout or keep the grade no doubt.

what is the union position on WCM? are they not still 'negotiating' on it?...so office champion(snitch)looks like another change that not so long ago was regarded as part of the race to the bottom but is suddenly a spiffing idea - looks like more window dressing while Rome burns
Look if Royal Mail wanna 'tidy up' the crumbling delivery offices across the UK in the hope that it may be a way for us to self service savings for them then what should be or is the unions position,theres no doubt the offices Ive worked in are not well planned and have poorly designed work areas but if the union want to start ploughing new fields of chatter while judging by my park n loop revision still not came up with a work load formula that produces balanced duties in an office or takes into account all the unpayed hours that badly organised offices get by on then why not sort the first mess out before making a s**t load more.
