Appeals and unfair dismissal...

Hi there,

I was just wondering how many folk on here have been unfairly dismissed and are pursuing the claim?

I was also wondering how many folk have ever had success at appeal level against an unfair dismissal, if anyone actually exists?

I can see from story's on here and across the net that Royal Mail have adopted the ideology to continually bully and harass people, gradually grinding down the workplace and busting morale and unity. They then steam in, sack a bunch of people on bull s**t charges and morale and unity are so low, everyone else is just glad it wasn't them and works harder due to the fear.

Surely, CWU should be acting on this nationally, this is happening in both my local large delivery offices and surely cannot be confined just to mine. Surely it is time for national ballot action? I've never known a place like it and I've had a load of jobs.

To be fair Red Robbo, with the complete arseholes in charge at Royal Mail, probably 80% of them are unfair dismissals.

If that was true everyone who was dismissed by RM would put in a claim.
The majority don't.

Hi flying postman, I'm from the staffordshire postal area, the bosses here are taking bullying and harassment to a completely different level.

As for that hyperlink a few posts above, I shall definitely be following that, that lad has his head screwed on, as does the fellow who has posted it here in the first place.

I'm representing myself.
Cwu looked at the case but IMO they wanted a near on certainty not over 50% like they state.
I didn't see one of their solicitors even to go through the case or be questioned!!!!!

It's pretty bad mate. I had to represent myself too, I didn't even get past the secretary of my area who kept wrongfully advising me that it would cost 4k and what I'm claiming is impossible to prove.

I won the case with a unanimous verdict!

The only thing I would advise you is to be massively over prepared. It's a rough trot when you're up in the chair being grilled by the judge/panel and RM's solicitor but if you're right in what you're saying, body language counts for a lot.

Also, keep going over there statements etc. as Weightmans will have wrote them and in my case, the managers were that dumb they didn't memories their statements properly. I on the other hand read them over and over and made notes for each statement about their discrepancies and contradictions. It was easy to rip them apart, confuse them and make them look stupid. I can't tell you how good it feels to see these arrogant, bullying losers squirming and looking like the idiots they are.

Maybe the advice I give here is just common sense but it worked for me so good luck and just remember to prepare like f..k, there's every chance both the managers and solicitor will arrogantly underestimate you!

How many more people have to represent themselves!
This union takes the piss,they are getting money for doing feck all,people thinking that they will be backed if they get sacked only to be told fack off!
Still I suppose they have to keep all the cash for the gravy boating high life w*****s at the top.
