Something new went up on our noticeboard today.
WCM Champions required apply to manager.
needed to help spread the the wcm word apparently.
sounds like gravy train jobs for brown nosers

Well your all cynical.
I signed up yesterday,it can't be as bad as being a union rep can it?
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09

There is now a race on between the CWU and the World Class Mail Champions to see who gets to run the Royal Mail Staff Association.

I am cynical and proud of it.
question everything .


I worked for for sainsburys many years back in my teens,at the time they had just adopted "team leaders"
a way of getting weekly paid workers to do management type things, but not for anywhere near management pay.

ive been wary of newly created titles ever since :wink:

Heard of it but what does it actually mean, what do you do etc ?

Any OPG/CWU involvement in WCM are merely token gestures to try and demonstrate that the initiative involves everyone at all levels. It really is just a PR exercise to try and get the remainder of the staff on board whilst getting some of the more menial tasks done on the cheap.

By now any positives to come out of WCM should be benchmarked nationally and implemented at all sites ... project wrapped up and staff redeployed onto 'proper' jobs (if they have the capability). Send the Professor away to enjoy the spoils of his time deluding the Directors and Moya, ready to fleece another gullible company.
