What do managers actually do??? Apart from go home at 9:30.

if managers are going home before staff have returned to the office, who is designated the PIC
person in charge
if their is a PIC then that person is entitled to a supervisory allowance

This does stick in the throat when they leave just after 9am and we are told we have to work all our paid hours, by them of course

I finished 12.40 which is 3.5 hours after the manager went home.

TBH I couldn't care less what they do when I go out the door, I'm only interested in my job and making sure I finish on time everyday.

Our under dom was there when I got back at 1:30 (light day) but other 5 lm's , dom and all rle staff had gone home. Mind you the underdom did walk in at 9! WE DON'T NEED THIS MANY MANAGERS, GET THEM WALKING AND DELIVERING THE STUFF , NOT STUCK INSIDE.

Theres no rymne nor reason to our DOMs start and finish time, wanders in when most have left the office hangs about for a couple of hours then he's off again.

Surley we cant have it both ways..... there have been complaints on this forum about managers doing postmans jobs ie throwing out and sorting and now we are suggesting that they go out and deliver and therefore stop "Joe Bloggs" becoming a postman or stop an existing postman getting O/T.

Me.... live and let live. They pay me to deliver stuff from a start time to a finish time and thats it, it matters not one jot what anyone else, manager or otherwise does in the office.

I'd normally agree with you, but not working for RM, managers that force in unworkable revisions with 100 BSI etc, than bully and blame staff for not being able to complete dutys, i have never met such a bunch of lazy incompetent people in my life, thier days are numbered that's for sure, i look forward to them serving me in the future on the checkout in ASDA
