I have a number of blocks of flats on my walk. Today I had a Special for a flat in one of them. Got to the outer door and rang the intercom for the required flat. No answer, rang a further 2 times. Was unable to gain access the block even after ringing the bells for each flat in the block with mail. Gave-up.

Was half way down the path when a person coming out of the block opened the door. Rushed back and gained access. Delivered all the post putting a 739 card through for the Special.

Was again half way down the path when I got an "Oi! postie" turned around to see a woman waving a 739 card. Went back buzzed the flat and she let me in. walked up the stairs and knocked on the door. Annoyed woman loudly stated that she was going to report me for not knocking on her door before posting the 739. I said I'd rung the bell 3 times and had witnesses. Why didn't open the door?. Got a "if I open the door your always gonna ring my fu*king bell.... ring somebody eles'e" Anyway had a conversation with her and basically she's ALWAYS in but won't ever buzz me. She does requires me to knock at her door after ANOTHER resident buzz'z me in. She claims/says that somebody will buzz me in (rubbish!) so If she ever gets a 739 card or any 'no access's stickered mail she'll complain about me so much RM will sack me!

I have a mobile with a video camera so will be using that in future to prove I did ring BUT do you then have to knock at the individual flat?

Id say she has threatened to report me for actions that i haven't done. She is a liar and i feel threatened when delivering to her. She will have to come to the DO and collect in future.

When it comes to "customers" you never can tell what management are going to do. Some times they sort of stick up for you i.e. "if you don't buzz the postman in then he can't deliver" to the more normal postie is always wrong and we have to do anything a "customer" wants. Just wanted to know what my responsibility is on this.

As an aside,
I've been swore at/abused so many times on delivery I've lost count. Even had a resident admit to repeatedly swearing at me and yet no action was taken. Its completely 1 sided RM on the whole leave you to swing.

The local nutter (drunk at the time) threatening me with a hand axe. Only after a council worker intervened did the bloke calm down. Reported straight to manager.... what happened NOTHNG. I could go on! :(

I wouldn't have even gone to that much effort.
I would've rung only the delivery point on the special, then 739'd.

Or are the letterboxes on the inside? Then endorsed no access and leave without a care in the world. Can't be arsed with people that make it impossible to deliver to thier property..
