Stamp rises and DSA

Just wondering will the new stamp price rise flow through to to DSA companies ? I don't think that was made clear, if not then there is a danger that under pre existing contracts we could be obliged to deliver their mail until the end of contract period unless there is a clause that allows price variations, that said I think the stamp price rise will kill the company if customers desert us in droves, this will ultimately affect our jobs and not in a good way.



It is ridiculous that we are now in a completely privatised delivery market yet we are obliged to deliver to every address in the UK for a uniform price as a condition of our previous Postal monopoly which we no longer have, without volume to subsidise rural service, Royal Mail cannot survive, we would have to be allowed to cut back to Town centres and set up a central collection points in villages, as happened in other countries, such as Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand which has split into Government owned "NZpost" in Towns and sub contracted (franchise) "Courier Post" for rurals who are usually as individual will bear their own losses.

Don't think stamp rises will make much difference to us. I'd say 99% of all the mail I deliver is DSA or similar so any drop in that will hardly be noticable. I think DSA prices were rising but not by much, they might affect us more? I'm sure someone here can clarify if those prices went up as well?
