Tired Feet

Post by drunkenmunky »

It's only Monday and I'm already starting to feel the strain, especially in my legs and feet. I suffer with hard skin or callus on my feet from walking and I get blisters.
I've tried changing footwear and wearing two pairs of socks but nothing has worked. I started wearing memory foam insoles but they only lasted a few weeks.
Can anyone recommend some good insoles?

Go to your GP and get referred to your local Orthotic Service. They'll get you insoles individually tailored to your feet.

When you get home after doing your round, put a golf ball on the floor take your shoes and socks off,sit down and roll the golf ball around with the sole of one foot using as much pressure as is comfortable then swap and do it with the other foot. Also try to walk barefoot in the house. Also do some calf strengthening exercises.

2 Shops for you, Scholes and TOG the outdoor outfitters. (insoles)

You should try applying CCS foot cream before a days work and also after you have bathed your feet when you get home.

Going back in time we used to get free Chiropody treatment, another cutback

By the end of the week you will be skipping home after doing your duty :dance

Dissolve some Epsom salts in a bowl of water and bathe your feet in it.

Try using Sorbathane double strike insole(I think a postie has a review on amazon).I've tried using various insoles and this has been the best so far. Also wearing socks that have terry loop padding will give your feet extra cushioning...Had major problems for a few years with aching ankle joints.Solved the problem by wearing Sorbathane insole and 2 pairs of thick (merino wool) Smartwool socks .cost £14.00 -£20.00 a pair.A bit steep I know but Gives a very very nice soft cushioned feel.(Which I need since I've started park and loop this week) and even if it gets wet your feet still feel dry, as merino wool is great at keeping moisture away from the skin .I'd never ever go back to wearing cotton socks.Great thing about merino wool socks is they are anti bacterial. So you can wear them for several days with out washing them.as they don't pong.
