Dtd lunacy

The geniuses in my office have ballsed up royally.They are in the process of removing entire frames (from duties that arent signed for)from the floor and absorbing those duties onto other frames.

Now,this means that the duty losing a frame still exists with more delivery added on as the prep is effectively being carried out by 2/3 other people.

Hope thats clear.

The problem with this is that the duty that has lost the frame has to deliver the door to doors that are on the new amalgamated frames.In the system this new,larger frame is viewed as one large duty for pre-sorted mail reasons.

Basically,the wrong dtds are being delivered in the duty whose frame has disappeared and the dtds intended for that catchment area are not being delivered.

Sometimes there are different dtds for different parts of the same duty

The managers are aware of this issue,yet we are costantly being told that dtds are to be considered unaddressed mail with the same importance as addressed mail.

Some heads will roll when it comes out that this is being overlooked and up to 10 dtds(EACH WEEK !!) are paying for a service that they either dont want or are not having their items delivered where they requested.

RM and the Union consider DTD a new and important source of revenue (for RM that is, not the members).............unfortunately that hasn't yet drifted down as far as delivery office managers.......who given operational necessities, due undoubtedly to revisions or an historic attitude believe that they aren't necessarily important.

I find it strange that the new sections added are not in the same d2d sector so get different items Thats madness.

It sounds like you need to get things prop sorted in a revision other than this mish mash of removing frames and adding bits here and there.
