Park and Loop is currently being phased in at our office, and the big test is our section as it's most of the town chaos in 2 weeks with the revision almost complete

Because thats a cop out to those who did vote, even to those who voted yes. If you want all the decisions to go your way, and to force everyone to vote then set up a "Democratic Republic of Maisy". We operate in a democratic society and one of the underlying obligations is to accept a Democratic Vote as binding even if you don't agree with the result. Another obligation is the acceptance that in a truly democratic society you have the option to not cast your vote.

Perhaps those who "did not bother" to vote, actually voted for "None of the above" as they thought a No vote would damage the Union, and that a Yes vote was unacceptable. My own opinion, is that the Unions stance of "No other choice" and the apparently fully blooded acceptance of the agreement shown by the Road Show and the "Road to Damascus" conversion of some reps left ordinary members in a quandary, and the result was the poor turnout.

Again perhaps the "couldn't be arsed" were actually "No real choice" voters.

In reply ....i did vote and belive it or not iv'e NEVER voted yes to any of the aggrements put to us by this shambolic union and am a well known stalwart on the picket lines
although i think the union hirearchy are in the pockets of higson ,moya and co they still are a better option than no union........... but if a credible option was there to support a breakaway union...... i would think long and hard guess many more would
