Planners role?

What role do planners actually have in a revision? Would have presumed they are there to plan a revision that the office want, but more often than not they seem to be drip feeding staff one sided information discussed at meetings without any formal agreement ie. scare mongering.

To true, it's their job to walk away when the s**t hits the fan leaving us to pick up the pieces and as above drip feeding rumours and more rumours

Planners role? Not sure that planners will be involved in ALL revisions going forward, look at the other threads on here, so if you are lucky enough to get a planner at least RM are taking it seriously in that unit but still bang em to rights :wave :wave

The First thing a planner Must do in Any office,
1 ,Find the way to the coffe machine,
2,Smoking Area,
3,Walk around the office so every one knows how important they are.

4,and this one is CRUCIAL IN THE ROLE OF A PLANNER,
have no knowledge or intrest in Deliverys what so ever,have no common sense,do not listen to expirenced posties .

When you put all of this together you have the perfect formula for a RM Revision(balls up).

well they did a very great job by messing up.... as far as i know HR employ the graduates and put them on the revision....

Some of them got the planner role/job because they were a fail Delivery Managers or job no longer in the business.

I dont know what they actually plan for the business???? bastard

Worryingly, given the mess we're in, I believe a great many were recruited internally.
To be honest, I had the dubious honour of being approached about applying for the role, by my DOM.
It took me rather less time than it takes Usain Bolt to run the 100 metres to decline the offer.

One of my better decisions. :chuckle

We could have had an insider on the whole revision process.
We could have run all our revisions past you and you could have told us where we were being scammed and what we should do to get the best revision possible/really annoy the planner/create mayhem ........and you turned it down?

We have one who helped do the revision at our office.
Needless to say he has a p1ss easy walk now and is 1st finished

Yes, oddly enough.
Perhaps it was the thought of a hundred thousand, or so, irate posties coming after me or what job do you have when the revision's process is finished?
