Staff Contract Manual c.1971

Long shot I know but does anyone have a copy of the Staff Contract Manaual c.1971 in their office?

My contract referes to it and I would like to see a copy.

Have asked HR Services but no joy.

Any other ideas welcome.

When your contract refers to a Royal Mail HR document like the Personnel Manual it refers to the latest version of the document so any reference in your original contract will now relate to the relevant document held by HR.

The principal terms of each employee's contract of employment are set out
in the letter of offer of employment that is sent upon recruitment and in
the documents enclosed with it, and by subsequent variations. Unless
otherwise specifically agreed in writing with an employee, the provisions
or the appropriate parts of Royal Mail’s Personnel Manual also form part of
their contract. The Personnel Manual covers attendance as well as sick pay
and leave. Section B of the Personnel Manual contains provisions that are
not part of the express terms and conditions of employment. Each employee
is nevertheless required to comply with these provisions as part of the
general duties of employment.As a Royal Mail employee you have access to support and information
relating to employment policy via the HR Services Advice Centre.
