in the mean time were now told were to have an indoor revision inside the next 3 weeks,,,new style primary and things moved around to create a "safer working enviroment" the bosses also said its to help us get out earlier in a morning so to help customers LOL....in the last few months theyve given us a major clamp down on going out on delivery,,,by stopping us till the last man is ready,,,and his last letter is in,,,,hard at 1st but now used to sitting around and waiting,,,,,dont forget we were used to job and finish ( I KNOW ITS CHANGING)

so i guess soon we`ll be made to lapse more,,,,up to the revision later this year

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

That sounds pretty
to be honest.. must be quite a small office? I don't think that would work in a large office.
There's a huge difference in the time people get out in mine (full p&l..), usually from around 8.30 for the early starters/easier to prep walks through to 10.45 for those who have to double prep or heavy walks (or are covering etc.). Yes, missorts are delayed.
Most are all done, tied up and out the door by 9.30. Why would you hold back 100+ people for an hour because three or four walks are still being prepped?! Surely it just causes more cut-offs and creates a load of drama where there needn't be any...

your right,,,were an office of about 45 walks,,,,,,,,,lets take this morning as an example,,,,,all primary done by 820,,,,,,im all in by 840,,,,,,there was 1 walk not touched all morning,,,a part timer on it at 9am,,,,,,we all were made to stay till it was all in,,,,,got out of the office at 935 ,,,,,i know its no big deal,,,but were way overstaffed with part time staff,,,,,,,the ratio in the office is clsoe to 50/50 so u can imagine in a morning 6am,,,,all full timers are prepping ag walks,,,,if were lucky youll find 2 primary sorting,,,,,,months ago ag`s thought we were just lazy,,,,,now they realise there isnt enough man power to do all the walks management want....this then coupled with the petty "your not going out till....." attitude is quite funny.
stupid part to me is we have a miss sort run,,,,,all offices in the area send 1 van each to a central location were all miss sorts are gathered and brought back to each office,,,,,,usually the driver get back to ours between 830-845........in the miss sorts he brings in is a large number of miss sorts for other offices LOL soooo u get miss sorts in the miss sorts LOL

I work in a large office and we just go as soon as we are ready.Never out the door any later than 9,usually out before 8.30. Your CWU rep has to work along side management on these new revisions and the CWU members get a vote on the changes as we did on our final revision. Now on the 39hr week and they have just added the new frames with the bungees on the back,don't like these at all. 
Our £600 payment was due this week,SURPRISE it wasn't there and is now due in 2 weeks.

we were always the same,,,,,,as long as missort run had been done,,,we were out,,,,,think its a power trip by the line manager....all letters in b4 we go now,,,been like that for a couple months.
all ag walks being thrown in leaves either 1 or 2 on ips,,,,,,moral real low
lads on early finish cos of saturday rest day refuse to lapse cos if they get out at 10 ish,,,leaves just over 3 hours to deliver,,,,,mention cutting of or need to go over and there bullied rotten,,,,,dom wont pay overtime until area rep is brought in,,,,,he then follows these lads out to check on them at finishing times....making sure also they have cycle helemts on,,,,high viz on,,,no earphones...id badge,,,.if he gets u on 1 of them its conduct coded
also now regulaly dragging lads in the office on performace issues,,,,,i reckon somebody will get the sack just for t++ting the gits
main revision this summer,,,,,,indoor revision?? next 2 weeks,,,,,,,union lad gave it up,,,family matters.....relief rep is long term sick lol
aint got a cat in hells chance for the revision

a lad from a neighbouring office comes up a street on my walk each day on his way home,,,i reckon he thinks im exagerating all the probs we have....they dont lapse,,,he finishes an hour or 2 b4 me LOL im carrying round large parcels cos our dom and the drivers agreed they dont take large stuff,,,,this lad laughs at this.....yeah variations from office to office is a prob,,,,,i noticed from my last job,,,bosses divide and conquer,,,,,royal mail is well in to that,,,,,even as far down to drivers v postmen in our office.
