i am currently off work just now - i went in to drop off my sick line -my manager told me she had been asked to enquire if i would be interested in early retirement on health grounds -- i am covered by the disability discrimination act -so they cant force me out (i think )
i have 15 years service and am 44 years old -- does any one know what sort of package i would get offered

Bit of an insult if you ask me, 44 yrs young and they want rid of you and your 15 years expeirence, what a great company to work for

i have noticed a rumour going around that there are a few ET1 claims going through on royal mail.
this is royal mail not making reasonable adjusments as to the equalities act and going straight for IHR.
i count myself in those figures even though i am still in the job, but the pressure is constant to accept IHR

I could possibly take them to ET1 for not being willing to make reasonable adjustments, however what we thought was wrong with me at the time, isn't what is actually wrong with me so it would be rather unfair of me to ask them to make reasonable adjustments for the wrong condition which wouldn't have helped anyway! Besides, I didn't want to put up with the sniping and back biting from my colleagues because I "look OK", and being pressured by management to go out on delivery.
