Do any offices have 1 in 3 Saturdays off and does it work ?

We are in phase 0 and although everybody was happy with the 1 in 4 model a very small number of full timers decided they wanted to go for 1 in 3 Saturdays thus forcing part timers to work every Saturday , is this used any where else or are any other workable options for 1 in 3 ?

Monday Tuesday off followed by Wednesday Thursday followed by Friday Saturday. Every three weeks you get five days off in a row over the weekend.

No the actual wording was "fewer saturdays" and "at least 1 in 4"

It means creating a fresh role for Delivery employees through the introduction of flexible working practices, improved attendance patterns (including fewer Saturdays), a better work-life balance, and by continuing to provide reasonable levels of take home pay.

Royal Mail and CWU commit to achieving at least 1 in 4 Saturdays off for the majority of employees (including reserves) during the roll out of the operational transformation programme. In some circumstances this may be exceeded utilising jointly identified options to provide 1 Saturday off in 2 or 3.

so if you can get better than 1 in 4 you should go for it.

We have 2 in 6 Saturdays off,I know that is equal to 1 in 3 but its a 6 week rotation.
Never really been able to get my head around the hours worked per week but it's basically a rotating day off + a Saturday every 6 weeks.
For example my duty works out as

Week 1-Mon off
Week 2-Tue off
Week 3-Wed off
Week 4-Thurs off
Week 5-Fri+Sat off
Week 6-Sat off

I'm lucky as my rota means 2 long weekends but it only works out like that for every 3rd duty others have Thurs+Sat off or Weds+Sat off.
It seems to work OK in our office we have some Saturday only staff and a lot of people come in for a days scheduled attendance.

so you are on 4day weeks, and presumably 10 hrs a day

Why not 1 in 3 for everyone? Certainly it seems totally unfair to give FT 1 in 3 Saturdays off, and PT none at all... That's not right.

You could do 1 in 3 for all: but it might mean a 9:45 day for a 4-day week FT, and double prepping on 4:30 or even 5 hour deliveries, with the part-timers coming in later, on whatever hours they need to do to maintain their contracts (e.g. 30 hours = 7:30 x 4 days, 25 hours = 6:15 x 5 days).
