I think i saw a ghost today on delivery....

before you ask..not i am not drunk!
While on delivery today to a block of newish apartments built within a very old listed building i had to go into the basement area of the building to deliver some mail..as i did i noticed a real sharp dip in temperature.. as i walked down the stairs...only one of the lights was working too...anyway as i took the mail out of my bag to push through this basement flats letterbox..i noticed in the corner of my eye a shadowy figure walk straight past me and through into the basement wall to the car park area..as you can imagine i s**t myself..and made the quickest exit of the building i have ever done with my heart pounding like the clappers..it took me a while to regain my composure before i could carry on with my delivery ...anyway..as i exited the courtyard i saw the caretaker who looked at me and no doubt my pale complexion and remarked..'' it looks like you have just seen our resident ghost'' judging by the way you look!!!
I said yes i had indeed seen something odd in the basement flat and asked him more abut this 'ghost'!
He went on to explain that this ghost was pretty well known and was often seen by tenants who lived there in the basement..something i wasn't aware of as this was not my duty i was delivery to and the regular postman did not mention it to me previously!
Apparently (and according to the caretaker) this gentleman had committed suicide in the 1960's for some personal reason,but had decided to stay within the basement area of these flats where he once lived ..furthermore the basement flat had been unoccupied since the 1980's due to strange things happening within this particular flat..i don't believe in ghosts and never have done..can someone shed some light on what i actually saw today as it has given me the fooking creeps!

I believe in ghosts,all a ghost is ,is that somone has died there and refuses to go into the tunnel----just tell him/her to go through the tunnel!! he might think he is still alive!(they cant hurt you!).

You do realise that if another postie see's this ghost and has a heart attack or jumps and hurts him/herself and you haven't put it into the walk-log then you are potentially open to discipliniary measures
