will keep it short and simple
1. can mgmt insist i take break( 40mins )at 8.40 am ,ft hrs starting at 6am
2. mgmt say legally i can be made to work 5hr spell without break , having it before or after
3 can i be made to have break on street
4 i requested break but not at that time only 2hrs 40 mins into workday mngmt insist its fair and reasonable
5. can i dispute this , mgmt say i need to take break at this time to leave office with others who do not wish to take break
so basically blackmailing myself into taking break at unreasonable time to accomodate vans a nd others

1. No, you are working longer than a 6 hour day and so a 20 minute break should be taken in the middle of your working day. RM can only dictate when the other 20 minutes is taken.
2. No, see above. 5 hours is beyond half of your working day, at the very least you should be taking 20 minutes break around four hours into your shift (if still 8 hours per day).

5. If management are dictating that some break should be used before commencing delivery, then that is when everyone should be taking some break, those working more than 6 hours are legally entitled to hold back 20 minutes to take half way through their working day.

Mon,Tues we have our full 40 mins at 8am, these are our short(ish) days. Weds/Thurs/Fri full 40 mins at 9am and Sat 20 mins at 8. Apparently these are within guidelines. Though when we started having the early breaks on Mon/Tues there was a lot of arguments but everything has settled down.
