Anyone ever had this,especially on neck,back or shoulders?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Had acupuncture on my leg about half a dozen times. Did'nt do anything for me apart from make my leg come out in big red lumps where the needles were inserted. Turns out I'm allergic to the metal :roll:

Yes.(for lower back pain)
It did nothing for me, though others swear by it.....

Had it in my foot as part of a chiropodist appointment. I don't believe in it, but it felt like it helped - like when you rub something that's sore. Possibly a step up from homoeopathy...

Seriously though it is a placebo.
The more elaborate the placebo ritual the more effective it becomes.
That doesn't mean it doesn't work...it just has no physical effect.
It's purely psychological but you have to buy into it and i've probably spoilt it for POSTMAN now. :oops: :left:

IME it wasn't strictly "placebo" as the needle was inserted into the area of pain and manipulated, so probably more similar to massage.

Receive it every two months along with Chyropractor therapy for lower back pain, neck, shoulders etc. It,s used to help the muscles relax, contract etc. Seems to keep me going. Reckon I would struggle without this and a regular exercise regime.

You cheeky sod! :chuckle I'm not that old, it wasn't in an operational situation either, it was what you might call a difference of opinion...not that I am confrontational - the circumstances meant I couldn't seek medical advice either........but it healed up nicely - you can barely see the scar!
