personally i see it as the other way round and :lfo :cfo simply don't want any more I/A, maybe an agreement is close? anyway the best thing we can do is stick toghether at this time we need the union more than ever not threating to quit and allow royal mail to plough in change.

At the end of the day, i want a deal done. An acceptable deal done.If it takes time i dont really care. Why lose more money if we don`t have to? Some on here are spoiling for a fight, but dont go to early. Christmas is round the corner, our biggest bargaining tool surely.Personally if things get so bad that still no deal has been sorted, the 2 weeks of christmas pressure IS OUR TIME. It would put the boot right in, and the media will certainly dig deep to find out what this dispute is REALLY all about

I totally agree. If you work out how many posties are paying 2.80 a week, say 30,000 for arguments sake, then times that by 52( weeks) it works out to be 4.3 MILLION!!! AND THAT IS A VERY CONSERVATIVE ESTIMATE.

WHAT THE F*CK ARE THEY DOING WITH ALL THAT MONEY????????

Get Ward and Hayes  out and lets get someone in who will see through crap

I want my money back!!!!!!!!

Get real! How many of the changes are going to be brought in before christmas? Once RM start with these changes there is NO going back. Am I spoiling for a fight? I am spoiling to preserve the rights of the membership to collective bargaining, for the right to a decent wage and to be treated with respect, for the agreements made in the past to be adhered to and for the job losses to be managed within the MTSF.

So the answer is YES and so should every right minded member of this union - including the leadership.

Mate im all for the points you made, WE NEED TO STAND FIRM ON THIS.... Ok Billy and Dave go into negotiate on our behalf... Hard job but thats wot they signed up for,,, No more no less.. ITS why WE pay our subs .... So if they dont do the job the majority want then OUT THEY GO!!!

I feel at the mo WE ALL need to keep together and sing from the same song sheet.. Billy n Dave are only but two people among thousands... WE HOLD THE KEY. And This site that has nicely progressed as ive been seeing.... Lets keep the banter but put the pressure on RM mostly and BILLY N DAVE.... Lets keep on at em that we dont want to be sold make em notice they just cant get a deal and hope for the best.... WE WANT A GOOD FAIR WAGE RISE AND NO STRINGS TO BONUSES AS THEY ARE OR WILL BE AND WORKING CONDITIONS NOT CHANGED UNLESS AGREED WITH A MAJORITY.... Come to us first not make a deal based on THEY will sell it to us... We can all make our minds up... In the mean time... STRIKE..... HIT IT HOME WE MEAN BUSINESS!!!

ACT OUT OF STRENGHT NOT A WEAKNESS.... And a weakness is just wot we will have if we wait anylonger... Rumourings and bullshite coming from RM to devide and conqure AGAIN.... WE DONT WANT ANOTHER WAY FORWARD DO WE?????

OUT

I dont!

2.5 per cent pay rise...And NO strings! Thats about all the CWU can propose to Royal Mail.....Anything else and they will be selling us all down the river! Even if they can cut half of the strings attached to the current offer then we will all be f*cked!

The CWU keep telling us to stand firm and keep faith with them! And most of us are! But all i ask is that the CWU start showing some backbone! The money we are losing from one day strikes will be nothing compared to what we will all lose if Royal Mail get there way!

So lets have these STRIKE DAYS ASAP PLEASE!

Strike at xmas woud be pr suicide. We have no supporters in the mainstream media. Anyone who believes the media are remotely interested in giving a fair or balanced view of this dispute is sadly deluded.

Strike at xmas and we will be reported as the men who shot Rudolph.

Start rolling action now, suspend it for xmas what can the pr twisters do with that.

We are taking too long a view here guys. We need to be settled before the earlier starts and geo route and Sunday collection and SA and all these changes take place. Believe me if we are still striking a day a time for the next 14 weeks we've lost! There is less than 3 weeks before later start times are imposed and we haven't nominated strike dates yet. What are we going to do, strike on the 8th and start later on the 9th - aye that's showing the swine.

I firmly believe we should have gone out for Harry potter saturday, public support is all well and good but they only really care when things that matter to them are affected, harry potter books and christmas presents for example!

If nothing is sorted by then, and i can`t see it, the rolling strikes would cause chaos, hitting RM at their most profitable time. That would really make them think.

I think everyone needs to get real, does anyone think we will come out of this dispute with an out and out victory with no changes to anything,i doubt it very much. There are gonna be things that the union will have to concede i know that and so should everybody else or we are living in cloud cuckoo land.Yes im up for the fight along with most of you guys on here but dont build our hopes up to high as a lot of us will be in for a massive disapointment
