does anyone know what basic pay a postie gets in the center of London compared to say a postie in other parts or the country?

The basic is the same as anywhere else - £372.10 for full-timers.

Perhaps, one of our colleagues from London could tell us what the London Weighting is these days?

The basic pay for inner London. Weighting is £450.98p

Plus the delivery supplement which is a permanent addition to basic and London pay ranges and is now in the region of £21 per week for full timers and pro rata for part timers

Pubs...... :hmmmm pubs.......yes I think I remember them, we used to have quite a lot when I was younger, sadly a dying breed in the North, nobody has any money to buy pub beer anymore, they go to the supermarket now.

It's all relative. London weighting may seem like a major bonus but believe me you are far better off living outside London with a slightly lower wage. Average price for a 3 bed semi round here is over £200k how much is it up north, half of that maybe? :hmmmm
