Got back to the office today to find a lock box fitted under every frame.
Wondering what it was for asked the manager. It's for putting Specials in between picking them up from the locker and leaving the office. Didn't realise I was working with such a bunch of thieving bastards.
Still , when we get back the locker is closed but it's still OK to just leave them lying in a big pile outside. Guess the thieves will just have to pick them up then.
Any other pieces of kit in the office that RM have spent thousands on that will never be used? Apart from LWTs obviously.

We've got a 'bomb bin'. Thankfully, thats never been used for the purpose for which it is intended.
Mind you, periodically, the cleaner has to empty it of Coke cans and Mars wrappers.

We once got issued large plastic boxes with lids to store your personal bits and waterproofs , needless to say they all went home nothing was ever said

hahah! I can understand this mindset, nothing more frustrating than bags going missing every other day. Perhaps this only happnes in lagre offices... the bags on some of the walks I cover have all kinds of duty numbers and road names written all over them as theyve moved through the office. Maybe a padlocks a bit too far, though I can undertsand keeping them in the van or HCT

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
