In my city and MC we now have a sizeable contingent of workers from Eastern Europe since thier countries became EU member states.
Can you explain (preferably without playing the race card) how their presence has helped either RM, the UK economy, or "British workers" in any real and quantifiable way?

a certain percentage of the UK payment to the EU goes to developing those countries who have had years of decline due to political intravention

a prime example would be the unification of east and west berlin and what that has achieved, that in its self gives political stability

they are trying to do what is best for their famlies like we would do, are we any different

first it was the people from jamaca who came to work for london underground
then it was the irish
then the people from india and pakistan
then it was the albanians
and last but not least the people from poland

people need to forget this little britain mentality

if its good enough for 26 member states then it is good enough for number 27, the uk

AND STILL KEEP OUR INDIVIDUAL CULTURAL IDENTITY

its these people from poorer nations who do the jobs we do not want to do and our uk workforce would sooner claim off the state

britain has the reputation of being the lazy man of europe

So can you give any real quantifiable benefits to the "working man", or are you going to trot out the old boss/employer's cliches about "doing the work we don't want to do" which, in reality, was just a way of screwing down wages for everybody?

I'm not too concerned about them coming to WORK here, what I take umbrage at is the fact that they can have family allowance for children that reside outside the UK...................if they actually exist at all. Relaxed border controls have brought us families of east european robbers stealing from shops and individuals, as for other ethnic groups..............well many of the headlines speak for themselves.

Yeah lets forget the legacy of the Tolpuddle martyrs and unions etc in improving work life, The power balance between the U.S.S.R and N.A.T.O in keeping a pan european peace and the fact that inward migration is merely a tool to increase supply and demand (fuelled by a now defunct credit industry for the benefit of the well to do).

Actually its the E.U which has done for us. The squillions of quids we send are all borrowed quids, borrowed against a fanciful projection of future taxation.
Little Englanders my arse, You fabians do remember the commonwealth of nations right? a much more worthy and global enterprise. Yes and veiled hints of racism accusations for those who disagree with the european project, whats more racist than blocking African, Asian and American trade by imposing tariffs on the one hand and subsidising underperforming industries on the other, and blocking the employment of non E.U professionals, The best doctors I ever saw were Indian origin.
I know that you will have to look up the term Fabian and that youre just thoughtlessly repeating a mantra that youve heard from a right-on source.
