Sat made to do killers

We now have management saying that if we dont complete a delivery on any weekday ie cutoff ,any time made on sat (due to being allowed out an hr early than normal ) mainly down to less traffic ,then your time will be added up[ and you will be made to stay and do killers untill 39 hrs is reached

No probs working 39hrs but there are plenty of people who start early every day ,never cut off and still get done early so are still working under 39 hrs but arnt penalised

It seems i was the only one made to do killers even tho i worked an hr over in the week and only cut off once
Really starting to lose interest in this job

Victimisation mate. Either everyone stays to their finish time everyday or you all go home when deliveries are done. Get your rep involved and, If he`s not interested, take it to the area rep.

I intend too mate all wrote dow ready for him so i dont forget anything

Banking happens in our office because of threat of working to your finish time on a Saturday.

Seems to me they threaten work to time on sat by telling you not to cut off rest of week ,union here i come

Are your managers their when you get back on a saturday to follow the threat through? Ours have all left by 10am. Dont you all do your own kill offs? Are the bosses leaving kill offs on a saturday for staff like yourself to do when you return? We have to do our own kill offs and then sort them into a frame as well.

We were deliberatly told in a briefing that if we owed any time come sat and including sat we would be doing excess killers when we got back ,,,,unless we didnt cut off in the week trouble is 99% of the office make time sat

So you're on 39 hours, which suggests you've had a revision - how is it you have time to spare on a Saturday? I don't know about anywhere else but Saturday is not 'that' quiet compared to other days (Mon/Tue) where I work. If you have to cut off during the week and then finish early on Saturday then the revision is crap, get it resolved. Early Saturdays are a thing of the past, people moan about finishing later on SAturday, get a job in a supermarket and then see how f****d up your weekend is!!

You're being shafted, you shouldn't be banking hours. Your work mates are shafting you by coming in early, your manager is shafting you because he's getting the job done by the w*****s coming in early and has the perfect tool to get back at those that cut-off. As said above, aim higher in the union and get it resolved.

Kill-offs - we do our own daily, we leave them and it's a word in the ear and if it goes on it eventually becomes a conduct issue.

Dont you have a clear frame policy before you leave the office.
My whole office do all their kill offs before they start the round, shouldnt be able to leave them

No its slightly different.

They are using the "work all your hours" part of the 2007 P&M agreement, however, as they are not applying it on a fair basis the Union should be told, they must enforce everyone working to their time, not have an arbitrary situation which in their mind qualifies only those to be targeted.

If it was banking hours then they would not have paid the extra hour they worked over on one of their days. They are playing it crafty but a decent area rep should sort it. However, there may be a backlash if management decide to go nuclear and make everyone work to their time everyday.

We have had a revision,ie 39 hrs ,its the 1st time ive cut off in monthes always got delivery finished
All i can asume is the others in the office that cut off have also worked enough hrs to take them equal too or over 39 hrs hense why they wernt kept in Sat
The reason why most people can get done earlier on a Sat is cause one they start early and 2 they are let out of the office early maybe an hr earlier than normal so you are bound to get done early ,we dont get out of the office till 9.30 or later normally but on sat you can get out 8.30 ish so youve made an hr before you start
And that is held against you if you cut off in the week

Ps there were cages of kill offs ,so someone aint doing them!!
