Without RMC

So, without RMC to fill the void of communication/training/information would royal mail function?

RMC is the sole point of contact I have had with duty related matters above the courier, three days shadowing and the waste-of-time-but-paid-for-it so-not-so-bad induction day. Other posties have been helpful, and without exception good to work alongside, but there's so much rumor and no time that RMC is invaluable. Pretty shocking really. Wonder what the value of RMC is to RM.

RMC is classed as bullying by RM so they would really like to close it down...........which is why we tend to skirt legalities so much

DPG watching your posts I do not think I have seen someone with as much EGO and self importance, the only answer to all problems is to cut off while on delivery. Do you not have the guts to try and change things within. Think about it, there is ample oppurtunities in Cookstown to do this, get yourself elected and get in theren instead of making cheap and pathetic remarks.

DPG watching your posts I do not think I have seen someone with as much EGO and self importance, the only answer to all problems is to cut off while on delivery. Do you not have the guts to try and change things within. Think about it, there is ample oppurtunities in Cookstown to do this, get yourself elected and get in theren instead of making cheap and pathetic remarks.

OK then, if you want to play then I'm up for it...........................making cheap and pathetic remarks.............by advising people who don't want or who aren't getting paid OT to cut off and not do the extra work for free........then hows that pathetic?

As for standing for being a rep.............who's to say that I'm not but more importantly, I'm trying to hold the union line about things but find that the union area reps only seem to look out for themselves and their hope to keep their cushy positions, I still remember what happened when someone differnet came into the union leadership over here.........death threats, imtimidation and the eventual disolution of the branch and I'm not prepared to put my family through that kind of thing.

Changing things.........I do change things, I let people know what they can do and what RM can do (as do many on this board), I do this on my office too but I'm sure you do it too

Come on DPG you know what I mean,our Union in NI is total crap compared to years ago, we were a real union then. I do not disagree with you when you criticise AreaReps they are total rubbish. Yes, locally we are bad but then if your office rep is good and you have staff who stand up and help them then that is all you can do, I'm part of the office team, I help out and back up the rep when needed (and also stand in when needed).
