I would like to know if there are still any info on this subject?
I remember when i first started i was given two/three days to try to familiarize myself with the duty i was on...i was exempt from having to go onto any IP/OP sorting in that two/three day period!
Now i have been told by my CWU reps that this rule no longer exists?
Can i have clarification on the new to duty rule?

not anymore, only people who get walk training now are new starters for a few days at most.
if you have been a postie for a while, you get chucked on a walk with a map if you are lucky.

I thought it was an un written rule that if you have not been on a duty for 6 months you get excused off the ips for a few days.
This is how we work at my place.
Obviously WSM throws this out.
Also if your reps state that the rule does not exist any more,then they are admitting that it did exist,and the fact that it hasn't been pulled as far as we know on here even though we're not sure there is paper work that it exists,means it still exists as per what your existing reps state.
