2 In 6 Saturday Question

I am really bad with numbers but here goes!

We have 7 firms and one rest day cover. Can anyone "fit" this in to a "2 in 6"?

You then have 2 RDC and 6 duties

This takes into account the fact that the majority of "in 6" plans usually mean a longer delivery span.

I work in a delivery office in SE London and we have 5 people/walks that get every other week as a long weekend.

Let me break that down.

1. Come in Monday to Friday - Off Saturday, Sunday, Monday.

2. Come back Tuesday to Saturday - Off sunday.

3. Back to step 1 ie Monday to Friday and then another long weekend.

This equates to half the working year as long weekends and only 5 people got the pleasure to benefit, including the union rep and his helper. Walks with this benefit were made clear before a resign, but were swapped about AFTER the resign and one of those who benefited from the swap was the union rep.

So that's a 3 in 6, but 3 in 6 long weekends.

EDIT: Almosst forgot...Everyone else is on the same 1-6 that was in place before any strikes or before any talk of more Saturdays off, except from part times who have the same fixed day off every week.

We have a similar thing where every 3rd duty gets 2 long weekends,When the duties were put up on the board we noticed they followed a rather strange pattern.
A bit like this.

Walk 1,Walk 2,Walk 3
Walk 4,Walk 5 Walk 6
Walk 7,Walk 8,CWU rep
Walk 9,Walk 10,CWU deputy
Walk 11,Walk 12,Walk 13 etc etc.
