If we get privatised next year will we have to re-apply for our jobs?

People in our office saying the people who have poor sick records,Or challenge managers will not be taken on.

If you are applying for a new job with a new company,why the hell should they have information on sick and office conduct?

True or just the typical office up the managers arse dickheads talking crap?

Pretty sure that if we do get bought, and I doubt it will be as soon as next year personally, the new owners will have to take us on warts "n" all, on the same terms & conditions we are on now.
As for poor sick records, unless you are on stage 3, you have nothing to worry about.

It is possible that sometime in the future after we have been privatised and after TUPE has run it's course that at some point,depending on the type of employer.......to affect some change in contract we would technically have to re-apply for our jobs but that would most likely be with the sole intention of driving down our terms and conditions not weeding out people with conduct issues which would be risky from a legal point of view.
You would be looking at least 3 or 4 years down the line and it is a very unlikely scenario to be honest.

I would imagine that all staff will move over under TUPE.

However there would likely be some re-structuring which I would imagine would probably impact on the managers (frontline and support) more than the OPGs. If another mail operator was the buyer they of course would be wishing to remove duplication and standardise remuneration.

Dickheads talking crap mate.If they tried it ,it would probably cause a national strike as it would effect us all equally ,no matter where we worked in the company.

Admin and managerial roles are expendable. But while there is mail to deliver, you still need frontline posties to deliver it

If a company buys out another company they have to continue with an employees contract
Of course they can try to make changes but im sure if they tried to make outrageous changes we would all walk out on strike
