Ok so I have been loaned out for the next three weeks. Anyway I was told to go directly to the new DO, and that travel expenses will be given from my DO to the new DO. However, since I will not be going to my DO for another three weeks, I am wondering if there is a time limit for claiming travel expenses. Also I thought I needed to go to my DO before going to the DO I am loaned out to. I mentioned this to my lino and he said no, just go straight there, I also mentioned this to my union rep and he said, as long as you claim expenses, then just go there as well. Anyone here that can clear any of this up in terms what I should be doing, and any deadlines for claiming expenses ?

i think the idea is that travel is included in your daily hours. ie your day starts and finishes at the 'home' office, not to go straight there

Its about two extra miles to get there and about five extra minutes. The new DO is in the opposite direction to my DO. What about travel expenses is there a limit to claim this ? If so I will go to my DO at the end of the week to put a claim in. And I suppose I claim expenses from my DO to the new DO right ?

officially what should be happening is you should attend your own office at your normal start time and then your dom should arrange either a lift or give you a van to get to the new office, you would then arrange to travel back to your own office to finish there at your normal finish time, thus having less than a full shift availible to work at the other DO,

so what you are entitled to do is drive to you office as normal, if dom asks you to use own car to transport yourself to new one, claim distance from office to offce and back again, DOM might not be too happy about that but if thats case he should supply a van

i was asking the distance as i was going to suggest if its similar and not costing you anything extra might have just been worth while not bothering but it is a couple of extra miles so i would go with what i said above, either DOM can pay your expenses but if your doing any OT at the new office it should be the DOM there that pays it
