The core minimum payment is 3p per card.AnotherLimey wrote:It's the same old question though, how much Fish? :)
The other element of payment is subject to area variations.
The maximum cap is 6.6p per item.

Re: Scottish Local Elections.
It will vary from Area to Area, Office to Office. We could not find a local agreement within our DO so had one imposed at the last election.
The intention is to get a properly negotiated local agreement in place for next time.

Sorry had to change the figures.andy prentice wrote:How do they work it out, reference area,is it doen by the quanity of cards for every area, the more the higher the price for each card.?
We used to get paid in hours for delivering them before it moved to pence/item.
The figure for your office is based on what it used to cost in hours.
4) Payments
All existing local payments covering the delivery of election material as stated in paragraph 2 above will remain in place, and in accordance with this agreement, with the following exceptions.
1. The minimum payment for delivering election material will be 3p per item.
2. The maximum payment for delivering election material will be 6.6p per item.
3. All hours based schemes will be converted to pence per item schemes and then the criteria in 1 and 2 above will be applied. Where delivery offices have introduced a SDD revision since the last delivery of election material then the following formula will be applied prior to the criteria in 1 and 2 above being applied.
Previous no. Walks/Current no. of Walks X O/T hours per walk e.g. 35 X 2 hrs hours /20= 3.5hrs
4. In those Units where there are two payments e.g. 4.5p for the first three parties and 1.67p for additional parties the minimum payment will become 3p with any payments over this amount being retained.
5. In those Units where there is a mixture of hours and pence per item based payments the process in 4) 3. above will be followed for the hours based element, with the process in 4) 4. above then being applied.

Re: Scottish Local Elections.
The service standard for poll cards will depend upon which of our products (eg, Walksort; DSA or perhaps even STL) each returning officer chooses to use. The cards should be dealt with in line with the normal specification for each product stream.
What's the normal specification for DSA?
Next week should be fun.

Re: Scottish Local Elections.
As usaul more local agreements, why no price for everyone? it's a joke every election, one office being paid double than another for the same work, thanks for the info though Fishfishtank wrote:The core minimum payment is 3p per card.AnotherLimey wrote:It's the same old question though, how much Fish? :)

I agree it's time the payments were equalised.AnotherLimey wrote:As usaul more local agreements, why no price for everyone? it's a joke every election, one office being paid double than another for the same work, thanks for the info though Fishfishtank wrote:The core minimum payment is 3p per card.AnotherLimey wrote:It's the same old question though, how much Fish? :)

Problem is RM won't equalise them at the top rate so some areas are going to have to take a hit.
I can't see that going down too well in certain places.

I'm a floater I won't be doing them, unless the regular duty holder wants me to give them a hand to do them as long as they are willing to let me claim.
