Heavy day today, had to deliver to every house again , mail from the council regarding bin day changes, not long ago we had to deliver rates bills from the council. My point being is that all this mail is being franked by other couriers and delivered by us, we must be losing millions, WHY ???? Why cant we undercut our competitors? WHATS RM DOING ABOUT IT ??????

Whats royal mail doing , simple they lose the contracts to other firms ,the firms sub contract them back to us (hence losing revenue)then the managers are telling us mail is down .When in fact its the revenue is down and the mail is not down as much as the PO are saying

They have (very slowly) been pressurising Postcom to allow them to increase the charge rates for our DSA service. Finally they have been given the go ahead to increase prices.

However I feel this is too little too late and the only way the playing field will be evened is upon the sell off and privatisation whereupon the new operators will cry and claim they cannot run a service under these restrictions. Then the dsa agreement will be scrapped and you can sit back and watch the profits pile up.

Of course Joe public ( and MP’s) will all say that its due to private industry and how lazy the Postal workers were before they sold it.

NO........But when you see these other couriers mail day in ,day out, you dont really notice how many customers we are really losing. Its like the peeling wallpaper syndrome, at first you notice it, but the more times you walk past it , it becomes invisible.

Sand is found in many countries and is an integral part of many cultures.

But sand goes with oil, camels and palm trees, and Arab countries seem to have more than their fair share of all these.
