time limits for issuing stage warnings

if a collegue triggers a stage warning, what is the max time allowed for the issue of the attendance stage

i need it confirmed that a stage warning CANNOT be back dated

I AM IN A POSITION WHERE A STAGE TWO IS ABOUT TO BE ISSUED 4 MONTHS DOWN THE LINE AND NOT BACKDATED TO WHEN THE COLLEGUE RETURNED TO WORK

I NEED TO QUOTE AGREEMENTS ETC

It says 'within a reasonable time frame'.

A stage 2 well any stage 4 months down the line is a serious serious piss take.

I've seen something on here about HR can only go back 3 months or something,will try to find it.

You are entitled to have it back dated to 2 weeks after you resumed work, as 2 weeks is a reasonable time for manager to complete interviews and all paper work

just an update

i could not post before as this person had and is continuing with cancer treatment.

i quoted the relevant equalities act and protected characteristics.

his response was "its the attendace that matters, not the illness"

i said if he was going to issue the stage warning then i would want him to explain his reasoning in an email as to why he was going against the equalities act

result was case closed, no further action
