anyone on 10.30am starts
Just had a meeting with my manager and was told that our delivery office was changing our start time from 8.15am to 10.30am the reason he gave was that everyone else in the company were already on these new start times and we were not. Is this true could anyone confirm this is happening in your office.we are all on 28.5 hr contracts working on 1 in 6 saturday/Monday off many thanks

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Well dont know about other offices but we do 7.15 mon/tues and 6.45 rest of week

We need more info,what time are you due to finish with that start time and what time are the full timers due to finish.
Is this park n loop,a revision,what has the rep said?

We are a small office with 15 rounds which 4 rounds are p and l the full time start will be 7.30 and part time 10.30. As I am part time my finishes times vary each day from 13.40 to 14.00 at the moment but hasn't given us the finish times for the new 10.30am start no rep in our office

As a part timer I start around 9.15 every morning give or take 5 minutes depending on traffic that day. Never heard of anyone starting at 10.30 tho.

The part timers start at 10:30am in my office and have done so since December last year. Tuesday only is a 10:10 start. Means that my finishing time is now 3pm right when my young un gets out of school. 
We arent due our park and loop revision untl October this year.

i dont come on this site as much due to the fact of getting wound up but i think its about time
our union told us how many staff are full-time and how many are part-time.
i always thought our workforce was mostly full-time with just a small amount of part-timmers.
we have all full-time staff at my office,with just a few contract staff (39-40 hour contracts).
yet now it does seem that all over the countrie the duties are part-time,as for 10.30 starts they must be
early april fool jokes .to change our times by 30 minutes from 5.30 to 6.00 pm caused uproars last year.
so who has changed the job to part-time, managers or union.

The scales have tipped here, majority part-time. If your full-time your looked on as a problem, PT's are told to start when they like and finish as soon as they can and get home. When I walk in to the office most are already prepping and are out on delivery before I get to sort my packets. Around 8am start for 30hr contracts in our office and 9 or 9:30 for 20hr guys giving fininsh time of around 2:15pm
If they want to change your hours they need to give you 4weeks notice and also have a requirement to take account of your family commitments and make appropriate allowances.
