Not Targetted D2D'S

4 lots of d2d this week, but 2 years ago the top brass said they would make them more targetted to the customer.
But I have to deliver 'save £700 off a new boiler' leaflets to over 100 old peoples homes in a block with it's own boiler room, obviously they don't need them and we get called stupid etc. - any more oddities?

I don't mind if they're tiny leaflets as one bundle of them is the same as a good log in my woodburner

Leaflets for a takeaway a couple of hundred miles away. They only delivered in a 5 mile radius.

Compost boxes and conservatory extensions for tower blocks. And when half the country must already have a satellite or cable subscription: Sky and Virgin Media (alternating every other week).

Of course, but when management tells you in WTLL why D2D is better targeted than ever it doesn't match up with reality. Virgin Media could send a bulk posting to residents not with them, but I'm guessing it's significantly cheaper to just book a D2D slot (via DSA no doubt) and hit the entire country. Again, that doesn't really match up with the idea that by being more targeted they're now more environmentally friendly.

It's just a lighthearted thread about the pointless d2d we take, to take our minds off the doom and gloom of the job, of course they've got to go and we do cut off on busy days , talking of which , hey ho we've got those dfs beauties, have you?

I cut off today...5xD2Ds in frame,whole lot thrown off,bloke who did the cut off got paid an hour to do it (half hours work) and left every single D2D in frame..it must have taken longer for him to bundle up by just taking the mail and leaving the D2D.
