Pointless morning meetings (DFS)

our 2nd in command has took it upon himself,,,(himself cos no other mangager or stand in do it) to give us a morning "huddle" biggest waste of time ever,,,to which he tells us the daily weather,,,most mornings he gets it wrong,,,i dont know which channels weather he uses but its crap.
any way he also points out things we do wrong,,,things we should do LOL u know the usual all postman are rubbish lectures.

1 thing he did mention earlier this week was from the 19th of this month the royal mail are to take on a new d2d order,,,,from DFS (think it might be sale stuff) he said its worth millions to the RM (and obviously nowt to us),,,,he warned us it will be large items,,,,now we do a d2d for a firm once every 2 months,,,a newsletter,,,in the old days we used to get 4p per item so it was worth a few quid,,,i used to get 600 so 20-30 quid.
these come in boxes off 100,,,,,and weight an f in ton,,,6 boxes,,,,,were told the dfs are in boxes of 90 sooooo deep joy and counting the days

Don't know what people are complaining about, D2Ds are part of the workload and so if you have to cut off because of them then do it

It's not our problem, 8 hours work for 8 hours pay.

In our area we have 3 monthly magazines that are in the top D2D weight band 80-100g plus there is a quarterly council one and a number of annual ones which means we have at least one heavy D2D every week :/
