And ask them to send a list of contact numbers

Divisional Rep
Area H&S
Legal and Medical
Branch Secretary etc etc.

If you are that much in a rush to join the Union you could consider Joining on-line me thinks you have a problem

And I believe some Branches have a policy of not necessarily representing someone who has only joined because they are in trouble.

I checked it out and they're OK with me joining and using them right away. If I stick it out long enough to use them that is.

Is that not like a Health Insurance company only agreeing to cover you if you have no pre-existing medical conditions ? "We'll happily take your money, but only if you're not likely to need our services"
